SUBMIT YOUR WORK THROUGH THIS FORM

NOTE THAT TK1 RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ELIMINATE ANY SUBMISSION CATEGORY BASED ON INSUFFICIENT ENTRIES. TK1 DECISIONS ON ALL CONTENT SUBMITTED TO THE MEDIAFEST ARE FINAL.

General: All Submissions

  • Your entry must be original work – YOU, the student, must be the original author and own the copyright of the work. Anything deemed to be unoriginal or appropriated from other sources will be disqualified and not shown.
  • Your entry must not use copyrighted material (e.g. copyrighted songs, brand representation, clips from movies, adaptation of a copyrighted script) without official permission and rights. Playing your favorite Bruno Mars song without permission from Bruno or his record company is unacceptable.
  • You, the entrant, must be 18 years of age (as of May 22, 2022) or younger.
  • You can submit up to 10 entries total.
  • Entries are FREE.
  • You and your parent/guardian will receive, via DocuSign, a copy of our Media Release for your electronic signature.

Content Limitations

  • No cursing, gore, on-screen violence, smoking, or nudity. Must align with PG standards.
  • No visual depictions of drugs, alcohol, or guns permitted, but they may be referenced as part of the story.
  • Submission deadline: Sunday, May 15th at 11:59pm.
  • Work must be submitted through the TK1 Youth MediaFest website and specifically this Google Form. For every submission, we’ll ask for an entry title, and a short description of that entry.
  • Submissions must have been created after January 1, 2020.
  • Must sign the TK1 Media Release Form. If you are under 18 years old, your parent or guardian must also sign.
  • Provide a one-sentence bio of who you are — which school you attend, your special hobbies, and so on.
  • Provide your email and, if under 18, a parent’s email. This allows us to verify that you have your parent’s permission.

For rules and regulations specific to your category of interest read below:

I. For Video Shorts (fiction or non-fiction) and Digital Animation (eg Stop-Motion) Submissions
